Brain Injury Care

Service Breakdown

There are two main categories of brain injury, traumatic brain injury (also known as TBI) and acquired brain injury (also known as ABI).

Even though damaged brain cells never regenerate, rehabilitation can and does happen following a brain injury.

Brain injury rehabilitation usually begins in the hospital and is continued once the patient has recovered enough to be allowed home. There is a learning curve not only for the patient but for their family members as well. It can be quite an emotional and frustrating time which is why support from an experienced caregiver is a great comfort for everyone involved.

What Our Caregivers Provide

Expert Support: Caregivers who provide brain injury care require specialised training in order to understand the specific needs and challenges of your loved one. With this in mind, we ensure that we provide you with a trained caregiver who’s capable of meeting all your demands.

Individualized care plans: Each client with a brain injury has unique needs and requirements. Our caregiver will work with the client, the family, and healthcare professionals to develop an individualized care plan that address your specific needs and goals.

Rehabilitation support: Depending on the severity of the brain injury, clients may require rehabilitation support to help them regain physical and cognitive function. Your designated caregiver will work closely with rehabilitation professionals to ensure that the client is following their treatment plan and receiving appropriate support.

Safety measures: Individuals with brain injuries may have difficulty with mobility, balance, and coordination, which can put them at risk for falls and other accidents. Your caregiver will take appropriate safety measures to reduce these risks, such as modifying the home environment, using mobility aids, and providing supervision and assistance as needed.
